Dimensional
Stability: Conventional solid sawn sections are
typically supplied as “green” timbers.
Perma-Straight Columns are manufactured with “dry”
lumber or approximately 16% moisture content, which
creates excellent dimensional stability. The
Perma-Straight Columns will remain straight and true
in cross sections and are also less susceptible to
checking and splitting.
Design
Versatility: The Perma-Straight Column can be
produced up to 36’ in length, which offers more
versatility in building design. Treated
Lowers: Lower members treated to .60 retention as
required by AWPA for permanent wood foundation
structures.
