Performance Rim Board is designed specifically to
work in conjunction with I-Joist to provide the home
owner with superior floor performance and durability.
Rim
Board was designed to provide a filler in the space
between the sill plate and the bottom wall plate, or
between the top and bottom plate in a multiple floor
construction. By designing an engineered wood
product to fill these voids Rim Board has become a
part of the structural component that makes up a
quality floor system by LRC Products. Rim Board will
not only transfer the load vertically but on the
horizontal plane as well.
In
order for Rim Board to function to its highest
potential it must be used in combination with an
I-Joist floor system designed by LRC Products.
